The actresses Katie Cassidy (also seen in the television series Melrose Place, and in the upcoming movie A Nightmare on Elm Street) and Andie MacDowell (seen on cinema screens in the 2009 movie The Six Wives of Henry Lefay) have just joined the distribution for the comedy Monte Carlo, a project co-financed by Fox 2000 and New Regency.
The distribution is also made up of Leighton Meester, Selena Gomez and Cory Monteith.
Inspired by a novel written by Jules Bass entitled Headhunters, the film will follow three American young women travelling to Paris. When one of the girls is identified wrongly like a spoiled British heiress, they will be involved in the middle of an action swirl which will bring them to pass a dream stay in Monte Carlo.
The actor Cory Monteith will incarnate the lover of one of the young women.
The film will be co-written and directed by Tom Bezucha (The Family Stone). The filming for this motion picture will take place in Monaco, Budapest and Paris next month.
Nicole Kidman will produce the project in partnership with Alison Greenspan and Denise Di Novi.
