The actor Stephen Dorff (recently seen in Public Enemy, Felon and World Trade Center and will be seen soon in XIII: The Conspiracy and Born to Be a Star) has just joined the distribution for the mythological action movie Dawn of War (the movie also is also entitled War of the Gods by certain sources) whose turning must start with at the beginning of April in Montreal.

Kellan Lutz (recently seen in Twilight movies), Freida Pinto (recently seen in Slumdog Millionaire), Mickey Rourke (rencently seen in The Wrestler and Sin City moviews and will be seen soon in Iron Man 2) and Henry Cavill will also play in this feature film carried out by Tarsem Singh (The Cell).

Stephen Dorff will incarnate Stavros, a master robber who joined Theseus in his search to release Greece from the threat of the Titans, a race of powerful deities, descendants of Gaia and Uranus.

Christian Gudegast wrote the most recent version of the scenario. The original screenplay had also been written by Christian Gudegast.

Universal Studios will distribute the feature film produced by the producers of 300. The release of Dawn of War is waited on November 11th, 2011.

New Line attacks the remake of the comedy Private Benjamin, a feature film published originally in 1980 which put stars Goldie Hawn. The new grinding will be used as vehicle for the actress Anna Faris (Observe and Report, The House Bunny).

The scenario writer Amy Talkington is in talks to write the new version produced par Mark Gordon.

In Private Benjamin, Goldie Hawn incarnated a spoiled woman who joined the army after her husband is deceased during their honeymoon. One of largest successes to the box-office in 1980, the film had been greeted to have tackled the female questions. Private Benjamin had received three nomination in the Oscars Ceremony of which Best Actress (Hawn), Best Supporting Actor (Eileen Brennan) and Best Original Screenplay (Nancy Meyers, Harvey Miller and Charles Shyer).

The remake will proceed in the contemporary world with the modern wars in background. Sources affirm that the studio does not want to make fun of the men and the women in service or to make a political satire.

New Line tries to revitalize old titles coming from the Warner Bros. catalog. Recently, they announced their intention to bring back the Vacation and Academy Police franchises.

Anna Faris will make team soon with Zachary Quinto and Andy Samberg in the comedy What’s Your Number?.
